Feel free to contact me and ask!
The fee for a 50-minute individual session is $100. I'm in network with Cigna, Aetna, and BlueCross/BlueShield. What you pay depends on your plan. You will need to check in with your insurance to see if you have a copay, coinsurance, deductible, or some other benefit for outpatient mental health services.
I have very limited availability for in-person sessions for clients located in or around Knoxville, TN. Send me a message for more information regarding office location and scheduling.
We'll meet via video chat using a HIPAA compliant portal. During our initial session we will review paperwork, set goals, and get to know each other - it’s a time to ask any questions you might have about the process.
Then standard sessions consist of talk therapy with a solution-based focus. We’ll check in around anything we agreed to follow up with, and then I will follow your lead to start us off. If you are unsure of where to begin, then I can help guide you based on the goal(s) we set during our initial session. I may incorporate mindfulness techniques or teach skills that can be helpful in achieving your therapy goals. The last five minutes or so will be spent on reviewing our progress and scheduling our next appointment.Sessions are 50 minutes long, and we meet weekly or biweekly.
Online therapy can be a great fit for clients with busy schedules needing flexibility. You can speak to me from the privacy and comfort of your home. There is no travel time, meaning more convenience for you. Clients are often surprised how natural and comfortable virtual therapy can feel.
Online therapy may not be the right fit if you are experiencing a mental health condition that requires closer or more direct/in-person treatment. If you're struggling with potentially life-threatening conditions, in-person therapy may be a better fit for getting you the help you need and deserve.
